| CHINESE STICKY Chinese rubbers hav a super sticky surface which reduces the catapult effect of the rubber but at the same time significantly increases touch and spin. Many long stroke loopers favour Chinese rubber because of its ability to pick and lift even the heaviest chopped ball. As a general rule Chinese rubbers do not suit the extra aggressive player but the looper/allrounder and defender. However, the more recently introduced Chiniese rubbers are now combining sticky surfaces with soft Japanese sponge. SHORT PIMPLE Short wide pimples suit a fast up to the table blocking/ counter hitting game. The pimples create little spin but are effective in controllinig spin. |
LONG PIMPLES Pimple length varies between 1.6 and 1.9mm and is generally suitable for allrounders and defenders. The thinnest and longest pimples such as Curl P1 create the most effect but are the hardest to use. The pimples have the effect of negating your opponents spins and creating returns with 'wobble'. The strenght of the rubber is the unpredictability of the return. Best used in combination with a reversed or Chinese sticky rubber to create maximum contrast. |

| EXTREME LONG PIMPLES The latest and most ferocious pimples on the market. Creates exaggerated spin reversal and deadly for opponents to play against. There are, however, limitations and attacking with the pimples is extremely difficult. |
ANTI LOOP The surface has minimal grip and when combined with absorbent sponge produces marginal spin and consequently slows the ball down and neutralises spin. The rubber is easy to use to counter spin but prevents the user from imparting any spin themselves. The new breed of fast anti rubbers slows the ball minimally but deceives the opponent by the absence of spin and suits the attacking/allround combination player. |
